i just got home from watching 'saringan ke-2 pertandingan nasyid masum 08' (finally knew the event haven't i?). the show was OK, at the time i arrived until the end excluding the gamelan performance and another group (of which both weren't entering the contest but were called upon to entertain us) it was a bore (to me that is, don't know about the others).

there were 15 groups performing tonight and UniMAP was on stage at the time we finally settled down comfortably in our places. All my sisters set in front, to have a much closer and vivid view of the performance, and yes performers (teringat lak time kecik2 dulu, siap duduk kat karpet tau, to get a better view with my own unaided senses).

UPM than made their entrance next, which to be honest, my mom had actually thought we had missed. Our uncle/ayahsu's is representing his university, he's the composer and lyric maker of their song (um, didn't catch the title again as i was busy stealing glances at him when his name was mentioned, i wanted to see his reaction-must have been proud and nervous at that time). Note: he isn't taking music courses or anything similar to that but i guest its just his talent and passion for music.

i didn't focus on the following performances after that because i was distracted by their choice of clothing as in to much accessories, scarves, diamond bling blings, and the choice of colours. their movements in addition were also another factor, you know hand movements, head movements and et cetera (they always repeat the same ones over and over again- well at least its better then one performance i previously saw on TV, where the group kept nodding their heads this way and that according to the beat or rhythm of the song-i kept laughing and wondering, wouldn't their necks become sore after that).
