a small reunion..
we meet at petronas taman sri pulai perdana at around more or less 9 o'clock after agreeing to meet there yesterday...but before i talk about that I should really talk about yesterday first shouldn't i?well...
it all started when nabihah called me on 21/6/08 re informing me about the plan she had long planned. So alhamdulillah i hoped that this plan was really going to work considering the other attempts that did not. She asked whether or not i could come, and of course i immediately replied yes (i didn't know about the others though, as many had not yet confirmed their status). So i offered to spread the word to others who i still or think i still have contact with which unfortunately in the end gets me a bit irritated..
i sms'ed sabihah and ain who unluckily couldn't come as they had some matters to attend to. One had to attend her relative wedding ceremony and the other had to help her parents pack as her family were moving to a new house (which is located nearby, so don't worry). Nana and farhana had already started their next semester. I didn't give up and sms'ed maisarah next, without having high hopes that her parents would allow her to go (this is base on experience) but unbelievingly i was proven wrong.I was hyped about her coming..and moved on to sms my next 'victim' ameerah afifat, who alhamdulillah was also given permission to go on this adventure..but my happiness didn't last long as a few unwanted things happened after that...
My hp let out its usual sound indicating a text message a.k.a sms was received, it was mai, and to my disappointment her sms confirmed that she couldn't really come after all(she blamed it on her bro as she had to take his place in taking care of her 'children',well thats how she puts it). I let it go, there must be something better to all this and took a short break from messaging (I'm not trying to enter a typing competition anyway). I resumed my duty and tried messaging min who I suddenly remembered out of the blue (well i had her hp number didn't i?), after a while a reply came in...
" %-) "=its a smiling face
I replied to get her confirmation on whether she could come or vice versa as her reply was weired. Her following reply was even more unpredictable..
"awk jgn nak pura2 anta msg yg ntah ape2.awk tgk no ni,awk kenal ke?saya x kenal awk n awk x tahu siapa saya"
fuh..my blood pressure sure did rise, duh?isn't this the number she used when she was in KMJ?So i gave her(well i thought it was a 'her')a reply, i was sure she was just joking arround..
"ni bukan Nur Shazmin Muslim ke?maaf jika bukan"
and here's the reply: "saya terima maaf awk n assalamualaikum!"(formal nar org ni asik gune bahasa baku je)
Hum..I really do wonder why people are like this nowadays, wouldn't it be simpler and more pleasing if the replier had just said "maaf awk salah nombor" it would have saved me like 60 cents(huh, berkiranya hari ni-her number started with 016 by the way). I even tried calling her home residence number but my efforts came in vain (this arises one question: has she moved?)-ok enough with that, lets resume to where we left off, the grand day..
Sunday 22/6/08,
It was still raining when i arrived, the girls who had arrived had all crammed into a car and where having a discussion or 'persidangan' as my mom says so (they were probably planing a plan B). I wanted to join but the car was so full, i passed. My mom, sisters and i waited for the meeting to end (it seemed like it will go on forever). At last, a car came by and nab went out. I went to the car she came out from and asked what their conclusion was. To cut the story short, they haven't come to a conclusion and were still thinking about it. I told them my mom's idea which is to just go to skudai parade or just 'lepak-lepak' and have a picnic at UTM, but as expected they said 'no'(one of the main reason was due to the fact that they didn't want to come across any smih students-lol). In the end, we proceeded our original plan after being approved by the two big bosses(kak Yati and kak fifi), Kampung Batu arang here we come...
We finally reached our destination at about 12pm, a little out of schedule as we had stopped at izzah's family shop to ask for directions and to spend some money on tit bits. The weather was fine although a little chilly than normal, but the water was freezing (oh,i left out the part where we had a tour guide-never mind). So here's are the tracking pictures and other pictures of us in the first pool/river(or whatever you call it)that we got into after jungle tracking.
p/s: there where two paparazzi s at the place back then- unfortunately they forgot to charge their batteries before coming so only a few shoots could be taken..
So i came down from the higher place with kak yati and tiah of course. Tiah held a firm grip on both of us (and i really do mean firm, she is strong!). We were halfway down when kak yati suddenly remembered tiah's saddles that she had forgotten. So she went back up to retrieve them. I waited at the same spot with tiah, who at that moment wanted to play fall (i really had to be alert of her actions in case she fell, sharp stones were everywhere). Upon coming down, i saw kak yati pausing and saying something to a couple that we had just passed recently but didn't quite hear what she was saying. So she told me on the way down that she had asked them weather they have been married or not when she saw them getting closer and closer to each other(pergh..ni tabik ni kat kak yati-padan la tadi mimik muka diorg ubah..). So we continued our journey down, noticing that more groups of people have just arrived including one group which also brought along a baby!wow!..
We had lunch, which was nasi lemak that was prepared by kak fifi. We were sure hungry, especially those who didn't have breakfast. At that moment nad received a message..
"jangan mandi!air tenang tak menjadi ukuran..lepas hujan air naik..bahaya mandi..makcik-makcik semua tak bagi mandi"
but i guess it was our luck as we had already finished bathing already.Oh, i forgot to mention that before that i had a game of hide and seek with a leech didn't i? it hid between the fingers of my feet. It tickled me, but thank goodness it hadn't had time to suck anything yet, thanks loads to asma' for taking it off (i hate worms!-this was our second encounter with the creature today..ameerah was lucky number one :p, the two other encounters was when one went up on the water container and somehow seemed to want to dive and take a sip of our teh-o and the other one came near Tiah, but i somehow managed to throw it into the running water, which later on resulted to a frightened Tiah who clutched on to us and didn't want to get into the water). Time was running out, and we had to go. Tiah once again got into one of her bad moods, because asma' little sister had borrowed one of her dresses. But this time was worser, she started throwing things. Empty containers were thrown into the stream. A bag that contained all the cameras and a few handsets were also victims of her rage, it was fortunate though that she threw these elsewhere and not in the stream. We then headed to the nearest mosque. It was almost 3 o'clock when we had settled everything..kak yati wanted to try her camera again, luckily it had just enough power for one last shot..so cheese...
Jusco was full at the time we arrived there, of course it is it was Sunday! so we had a problem in finding a parking space. I told the others that my father usually parks outside, near the stairs if the parking space was full. There was a double line there but so far no fines have been made (info archived from my mother). But the driver and the other passengers didn't want to take any risks(well we were still holding the P licence weren't we?). So we had a second try at finding a parking space. Suddenly mai startled everyone in indicating that she had just saw a free space. I got moving and immediately got a role in becoming a temporary traffic policeman, to reserve the area for a v.i.p car (ok, I'm exaggerating). A car came and signaled that it wanted to go in the reserved place. But i using my skills i succeeded in conveying them that the place was booked, so the driver drove off peacefully. Along came another car, this time driven by a Chinese man.He signaled and i on the other hand did the same thing as before, but this time the driver didn't budge (ni kes tak nak mengalah). So i just stood there and ignored him to show him that i to could play that game. I was a little relived when nad finally came, and let her in. My mind however was still thinking about the driver (he was probably mad with me).
Nad reversed the car to get a parking position and then let down one of the front windows. She suddenly asked me : "calar x kereta" (lebih kurang lah bunyinya). I went and checked the front of her and was shocked to see it damaged. The other car however, was worser off. It even had some dents on it because of the impact. Some of my friends panicked. An expert driver was imported to our aid, our car was sooo near the other one. So the parking was settled. The next problem is what are we to do with the dents and scratches??should we wait for the driver to return?=no, that would be a waste of time, should we just go and park elsewhere?=no, that would be so irresponsible and wrong. So nad scribbled something on paper along with her contact info and clipped it in place with one of the wipers in the front window. We continued walking to ayamas..
Ayamas was almost deserted, we ordered the menu and waited. Some started eating a little when the dishes came as they were hungry once more. I suddenly got a call from an unknown number, it was kak yati, she asked where we were and asked if we had a cake so i answered her question honestly. While waiting again, it was nad's turn to answer her phone..it was the car owner(alamak!). She then went out to settle things. the food became cold. Kak fifi, kak yati and tiah finally came. Tiah, obviously was the first to reach us with a cake in her hand. We opened it and tiah immediately grabbed the candle and tried sticking it on the cake (she got angry when we tried to take them off). She blew the candles and yes, cut the cake (it was a disaster!). Pieces of cake went flying everywhere. We had the messiest table there other customers just watched us in amusement, well tiah especially. She really had fun feeding us the cake. After eating nab said it was getting late so we had to go. Although, it was only a short reunion and only a few friends could come it still had a big impact on us. We said goodbye and parted.
